I’ve had a love affair with fairytales since my mother read them to me as a child. They contain everything I adore: adventure, fantasy, romance, suspense, life lessons, more than a few chills and sometimes the not so happy ending. I’ve never outgrown them. Hans Christian Andersen, Brothers Grimm, right down to Disney and new renderings on TV and movie screens, they had me at “Once upon a time . . .”



I credit the larger-than-life heroes, clever heroines, and often gruesome feats of daring do in my favorite bedtime stories for my love of paranormal romance—reading and writing them. Getting carried away into other realms where mythical and magical creatures roam—what’s not to love?! Even when they’re bad, to me, those guilty pleasures are oh so good. (Jeremy, Matt, Heath and Hugh, those roles may not have been Oscar-worthy, but I watch them over and over! Probably because of the leather!)


Behind my current dark paranormal “By Moonlight” shape-shifter series lurks the heart and soul of a fairytale: the Beauty and the Beast. My tortured preternatural hero Max Savoie is back in REMEMBERED BY MOONLIGHT (October 13, 2014!) as leader of a secretive clan and love of clever and courageous New Orleans detective Charlotte Caissie.

Because the road to Happily-Ever-After doesn’t always run smooth!

A fairytale come to life! Working with Patricia Lazarus at Lazarus Art, I got to find the hero I imagined from the very beginning when writing about Max Savoie.

    Max and CeeCee are my favorite Beauty and Beast. Especially when you sometimes can't decide which is the beauty and which the beast! Can't wait for this release!
